Before submitting your application and deposit below, please review the following information regarding the registration process and the formation of Philo Trips. Please also review the dates and prices on the schedule, keeping in mind that airfare is NOT included and participants are responsible to coordinate their own travel to and from their Philo Trip. Certainly feel free to contact the professor of the Philo Trip in which you are interested, or anyone else at Philomobile with questions regarding logistics, timelines, refund policies and whatever else may be of concern.

1. Logistics for presently listed Philo Trips are coordinated by Celestial Voyagers, a tour company with eighteen years of experience tailoring travel to specific needs: university courses, family reunions, spiritual retreats, sport and recreation, etc. Celestial Voyagers' services include a native guide who negotiates local travel, entrance to sites and reservations. Please feel free to contact Celestial Voyagers with any questions regarding the your prospective travel destination, travel insurance, and the possibility of accommodating special requests.

2. The itinerary for each listed Philo Trip will be guaranteed once the minimum number of applications (10) has been received, each accompanied by a $ 500 deposit. Applications and deposits are requested 90 days before departure, and full payment is due 60 days before departure. Philomobile kindly asks that participants apply sooner rather than later because we can only guarantee with sufficient enrollment. Please also bear in mind that each presently listed Philo Trip has a maximum enrollment of approximately 20 to 25, and may reach capacity. Should there be insufficient enrollment all payments will be immediately refundable 60 days prior to departure. * For refund policy for student cancellations please see below.

3. Once enrollment has guaranteed the itinerary we will immediately be in touch. At this time participants will purchase airline tickets; Celestial Voyagers will finalize hotel accommodations; detailed information packets regarding the travel itinerary and lecture plan will be sent out.

On the first scheduled day, participants will gather at the hotel in their designated city to meet their Philomobile professor, the tour operator and their fellow travelers. Again, please be in contact with any questions and concerns. We welcome all feedback.

4. Students already matriculated at accredited universities who are interested to earn academic credit in coordination with their Philo Trip should contact the director of Philomobile, Yunus Tuncel, at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. All Philomobile professors will be happy to help structure a curriculum of study, but it will be necessary to have prior approval from the student's university and the student will be responsible for whatever tuition charges are due for an independent study.

* Refunds for cancelled deposits are as follows: $350 of the $500 deposit is refundable for written cancellation requests received 60 days prior to departure. Refunds for cancelled full payments are as follows: a complete refund (minus a $150 processing fee) for cancellations notices received 60 days prior to departure; a 50% refund of full payment (minus $150 processing fee) for requests received 45 days before departure.
